Episode: #5

Hey Lovesss!

I had the opportunity to interview Elizabeth Hugen, which is the beautiful Lizzie in Lace.  Once you look at her petite personal style blog that showcases romantic, feminine fashion with a bit of whimsy, you will be hooked!!!!  On her blog you can find OOTD inspiration, styling tips and tricks and a great community of women that are positive and uplifting. Liz is a Kate Spade obsessed, flower crown wearing, dress twirling kind of girl that believes in wearing tulle skirts for any occasion, eating cupcakes for breakfast and sporting sequins during the day. Aside from blogging, she teaches guitar as a profession, enjoys traveling and loves to draw.   Soooooo freaking CUTE!!!!!!

LIZZIE IN LACE INTERVIEW

Q1. A. question I ask all of my featured guest is, What did you want to be growing up?

My life long dream was to be a fashion designer. I’m still chasing that dream, but it’s just a bit different. 🙂

Q2. How did you first get into Instagram blogging and gain such a large following?

When I started my blog almost two years ago, I figured that I would need to promote my content on social media. I did not have an Instagram account previously and actually had no idea how to use it. My Instagram account has since become almost a blog of it’s own and has grown immensely, especially in the last five months. My growth has been due to nothing but hard work and time. This past year, I did a lot of research, implemented a ton of different strategies and learned a lot through trial and error. I didn’t start taking it seriously until five months ago and it completely changed everything. I’m almost as passionate about Instagram as I am about fashion and I think that helps a lot as well.

Q3. What’s your favorite filter?

I actually don’t really use the Instagram filters. I also edit my Instagram photos different than I do with my blog. It took a lot of trial and error but I have found an editing sequence that I am happy with and that I feel represents me. I will use both A Color Story (Everyday or Light Bright filter) and VSCO (HB1) to edit. I will choose which one goes best with my feed and continue editing in Instagam (brightness, sharpness, shadows and warmth) until I’m happy with the result.

Q4. What does the future hold, any new collaboration?

I have a few things up my sleeve but for now, it’s a secret 🙂 Exciting things are happening in 2017! YAY!
