MY INTERVIEW WITH JESSICA CASTRO

Q1. What did you want to be growing up?

I wanted to be a teacher. As I got older, I realized that was not what I wanted to do but I do think about it sometimes. If I did ever pursue it I would consider Kindergarten because I love kids.

Q2. What is your favorite part of inspiring women?

For me, the best part is seeing these women relate to the girl that I am. I am very relatable and I think I am the girl next door which makes people gravitate toward me and trust me. I have really strong family morals and values and I think that also promotes me to just be a good person. I also like to break the stereotypical women competing against women mold. I want to be able to encourage women to stand up for themselves and be the best them they can. I want them to know they have a voice.

Q3. What is one of your most treasured accomplishments?

My most treasured accomplishment is being able to help my mom financially. Growing up, knowing it wasn’t easy for her. When I can help that is exactly what I do. I love making my mom happy. That is my greatest accomplishment.

Q4. What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?

I want to say that I never like to regret a lot of things. My experience on TV was tough for me. A little part of myself in me feels like I rushed parts of my life, such as getting married. I feel like I should have waited for it to happen naturally. I started in the industry at a later age in my life but I have no regrets. Everything has happened the way it should have.
